I'm glad to announce that a short while ago I signed a contract with Delhi Dynamos Football Club, the team that will be play in the upcoming 2014 Indian Super League season. I'll be a member of the team that will participate in the new Indian football championship and being the ambassador of this league I will have the honour and responsibility of promoting the image and popularity of football in the country.
I am very enthusiastic about this new adventure, it fits perfectly well the with the way in which I chose to move forward since I left Juventus three summers ago. I have never wanted repeat the paths already walked, i've never looked to repeat emotions that i've already experienced, those are unique and will remain unique and special forever. I've always looked for something different, I see myself as a "traveller on the roads of football", for me the pitch isn't the only thing that counts, that what surrounds the game counts just as much. Above all what is important is the possibility to join together the professional aspect and the role of "football ambassador", a chance to proudly represent this all over the world this wonderful sport, that has been a fundamental part of my life since the day I was born. This is the reason why I went to Australia. Also why I'm happy with the results obtained in my two years there, both with Australian football ( soccer! ) and everything that country has given me.
This is the reason why I'm going to India. Another stopover on this fantastic journey. A new championship, the Indian Super League, a new team, the Delhi Dynamos FC, new fans, a great amount of enthusiasm, lots of new people to meet and hopefully "conquer", dribbling a ball and not soley that.
Next stop: India. I'm on my way.
