2015-02-04Inauguration of the “Ayrton” exhibition

It’s a special day for me and ADPLOG, the gallery, inaugurated in Turin a year and a half ago, that today hosts "AYRTON” the exhibition, a tribute to the extraordinary champion of Formula 1, an event curated by The Ayrton Senna Institute.

I take great pride in presenting such an event, these are exactly the opportunities I wanted to create when, together with my staff, we decided to open ADPLOG. This exhibition is quite different from previous ones that were shown in ADPLOG, this fact makes me particularly happy. First of all, I'd like to thank Viviane Senna, Ayrton's sister and the president of The Ayrton Senna Institute, together with her staff and all people who have worked on this project she made it all happen
To remember and to celebrate a great champion of sport is like telling a part of the story of everyone who loved and admired them. Why Senna? Because he is one of the greatest legends of sport, and i'm talking not only about Formula 1. He is a perfect example of a champion to follow. A man who was born to become a legend, to honour his passion. The whole of his story is marked by extraordinary humanity and this is exactly what we want to show during the event that we are honoured to host in  ADPLOG.

Senna was a champion of extraordinary humanity. The other day i was thinking: in Italy we are a Ferrari nation, but many Italians cheered also for Senna, he was respected by all and his success was celebrated by all. This isn't only due to the fact that he was an outstanding pilot, but because he was a champion that made special things. On and off the track. Ayrton doesn't belong only to his fans, the world of cars, the sport. People like him are the patrimony of everybody. That’s the reason they enter everybody's heart. Ayrton's sister, Viviane says: "My brother will live as long as there are people who remember his legend, his accomplishments".

This exhibition is a great occasion, and - not forgetting - an opportunity to support great projects of solidarity, led by The Ayrton Senna Institute. In fact, tickets sold will contibute to sustain The Ayrton Senna Institute, foundation that since 1994 to the present has become the biggest private assistance organisation in the world, during the time of its existence it has taken care of 18.000 poor children in Brazil in the name of Ayrton Senna.

The exhibition will be open from tomorrow, the 5th of February 2015 until the 22nd of May in ADPLOG, via Gobetti 10 in Turin.
