There is no better way to start the season than full of the passion and enthusiasm that Japan transmits; every time I visit I remain pleasingly overwhelmed.
I am very happy to have shared this feeling with my team, Sydney FC: It was a pleasure to once again meet up with my colleagues, I have got to know the "new faces", others I will meet in Jesolo during the pre-season training camp that will take place in Italy from the 3rd of August.
It will be a new beginning for us, but our being full of energy can only help.
During this trip I have been fortunate to experience many emotional moments, meeting the 150 children at the soccer school event of Sagan Tosu, the team that we faced (the grown ups though!) in the friendly match at the Best Amenity stadium (the home team taking the honours with a 2-1 victory) will remain fondly in my heart.
As so often happens in these cases, everything that I tried to give is infinitely less than what I received: thank you people, I'm sure we will see each other again!
There were many events, many appointments, there hasn't been a spare minute all of this has been wonderful, time has flown!
On the field of play, in front of a fantastic crowd, ( a record attendace for the Best Amenity Stadium ), I once again found the correct sensations , I enjoyed myself and got on well with my new colleagues, with whom, in a few days I will meet up with yet again at the pre-season training camp.
As for myself, my next stop will be Kuwait, I will be there to assist the final of the Al Roudan tournament. After which...everyone to Jesolo!
